I contribute processing power to several projects to assist in the acceleration of research discovery for many of the ills that plague society. I find Boinc to be an efficient way in terms of cost and time to make a difference. I have a direct impact in terms of research, I use minimal electricity, and I use the CPU for processing data at variable speed depending upon my computer usage.
